MATTHEW
ALAN ELLIOTT received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural
Studies in 1982 from the University of Illinois and his Master
of Architecture in 1985 from the University of Pennsylvania.
After graduating he worked on residential, commercial and institutional
projects both in the US and abroad. Matt moved to Maine in 1989
and in 1993 joined his wife, Libby, in forming their own firm.
LIBBY ELLIOTT graduated from Middlebury College
in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, and the University
of Pennsylvania with a Master of Architecture in 1987. After
graduating, she first worked in Philadelphia and then in Maine
on a number of new houses, renovations and additions. In 1993,
Matt and Libby’s home-based business became Elliott &
Elliott Architecture, and in 2001, Elliott Elliott Norelius
Architecture.
BRUCE NORELIUS received his Bachelor of Arts
in Architecture in 1981 from Washington University in St. Louis
and his Master of Architecture in 1986 from the University of
Pennsylvania. He has worked with firms in Maine, Boston, and
Seattle and has been involved in all areas of the profession
including design, administration, and teaching. Bruce returned
to Maine in 1995 to join the firm, and in 2001, Bruce became
a partner.
DAVID A. LEONARD has a background in architecture
beginning in Philadelphia in the 1960s, where he worked for
several architectural firms. After moving to Maine, he continued
his career in architecture working as a project manager and
designer on numerous commercial and residential projects. During
the 1980s, David had his own business which focused on graphic
design and corporate interior space planning. David joined the
firm in 1994.
ISAAC DAVID ROBBINS received his Bachelor of
the Arts in Human Ecology in 1995 from College of the Atlantic
in Bar Harbor, Maine. In addition, he has studied design and
planning at the Institute for Social Ecology in Plainfield,
Vermont, and at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Prior
to joining the firm in 1996, Isaac worked for architects in
Lincolnville and Bar Harbor, Maine.
JENNIFER LEE MORROW joined the firm in 1996
as the business manager. With a background in fine arts and
contemporary crafts, she also assists the architects with color
consultations, product selection and interiors. Jennifer received
her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design
in 1981 and her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Kansas
in 1991.
MATTHEW THOMAS O’MALIA received his Bachelor
in Environmental Design from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio
in 1992. He worked for architects in Frankfurt, Germany and
New York City before completing his post graduate studies in
at the Staedelschule Kunst Akadame in Frankfurt in 1997. Matthew
joined the firm in 1998.
JOHN F. GALLAGHER received his Bachelor of
Fine Arts in painting in 1968 from the Rhode Island School of
Design, including study in the Department of Architecture. During
this time, he also worked in building construction on residential
and large-scale institutional projects. His career has included
teaching art at the middle school and university levels. Having
traveled widely in the U.S. and Europe, he moved to Maine in
1975, established a studio and a practice as a technical illustrator
and graphic artist. John joined the firm in 2001.
ERIC WILLIAM REINHOLDT joined the firm in July
2001 and received his architectural license that same month.
After receiving his Bachelor of Architecture from Roger William
University in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1996, he interned at
a large design firm in central Connecticut with a primary focus
on large civic and educational projects. Eric received the AIA
Merit Award in 1995 and the Roger Williams Thesis Award in 1996.
DWAYNE C. FLYNN received his Bachelor of Environmental
Design Studies in 1994 from the Technical University of Nova
Scotia (currently the Dalhousie University School of Architecture)
in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He later received his Master
of Architecture in 1996 from that same institution. He has interned
in Montreal, Canada and Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Primarily
he has worked as a project architect on residential and institutional
projects in New York City where he received his architectural
license in May of 2002. Dwayne joined the firm in August of
2002.
JOHN TODD LOOMIS received his Bachelor of Architecture
and Bachelor of Science in Building Science from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute in 1999. JT taught a design studio at
Rensselaer, worked as a project architect in Telluride, Colorado,
and in Manhattan before joining the firm in 2003.
