Artist Studio Coastal Maine - 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | BACK TO WORK

Inside the building, there are open but semi-distinct work areas for clay modeling, woodworking, painting, collage and multi-media. There is also an atrium, a book-lined study and a kitchen that provide for the non-studio functions of entertaining, relaxing, and housing the occasional overnight guest. A companion building houses kilns and a stone-carving area.

The Artist Studio won an
Excellence in Architecture award from the Maine Chapter of AIA, 2001.
